Merseyside Business Directory is a local directory website with listings for Businesses in and around the Merseyside area. Our site is run by local people supporting local Businesses.

We understand that everyone's requirements can differ greatly. This is true too, with regards to how individuals use a website.

Because of this we have tried to make this website accessible. Most of the accessibility features won't be obvious - that's how it should be.

Changing text size

Change the text size to suit your own requirements:

Use your web browser

- Opera: File > Preferences > Fonts > Minimum font size (pixels).
- Alternatively, scroll with the wheel of your mouse whilst holding down the control key.

How we designed the website

All text has been given a relative font size, allowing you to resize the text if you want to;
Structure and presentation are completely separated;
All images have been assigned descriptive ALT text. Any decorative images are either included in the CSS document or have a empty ALT attribute;
All pages are designed using CSS - this website is table free!
To assist users of screenreaders we have added a skip to content link on each page. This means that you don't have to listen to the navigation when you arrive at a new page.
